macbook6,1 dropped dead, I think from overheating while building proxies in FCP. I removed the bottom to pull the drive. Full of dust. I didn't know about replacing the thermal paste and removing the dust. Probably could have saved it. I had two pencils under it for cooling.
John, what do you do about dust? What do you suggest?
