Hi John, I've read a few how tos on how to replace the LVDS cable on a 2009 MacBook Pro. Basically they all say you have to disassemble the display. I've had a few bad experiences removing the screen and while I'm getting better, I thought I would check with you to see if you've discovered a simpler way to swap it out.
